Answers before assumptions.
The distinctions that matter when integrating with an agent-focused blockchain.
Do I need a wallet for the quickstart?
No. The quickstart only reads node identity, activation, and block state. It does not ask you to sign or submit a transaction.
Is Sigil an EVM-compatible chain?
Sigil uses typed native transactions and an ANVIL WASM contract runtime. Do not assume Ethereum transaction formats, addresses, ABIs, or wallet APIs apply.
Does a listed RPC method mean a feature is live?
No. The method catalog identifies the client interface. Handler support, node build features, genesis policy, activation height, backing state, and transaction dispatch determine what a particular endpoint can do.
Which currency should my application display?
Use the selected network configuration: MINT for mainnet, BITS for Evolve canary, and SIG for the Velocity testnet. Verify the returned chain ID before applying currency metadata.
What does getNodeInfo return?
The current handler returns version, chain_id, and protocol_version. Read block, validator, and activation methods for their respective state instead of expecting every metric in one response.
Why can HTTP 200 still mean failure?
JSON-RPC can return an error envelope over a successful HTTP transport. Check the error field before reading result, and show unavailable state when the call fails.
Does a commitment prove that an AI result is correct?
A digest commitment can establish byte integrity, attribution, and inclusion. It does not by itself prove model execution, result correctness, storage availability, privacy, or zero knowledge.
Can I create a treasury or payment channel today?
The inspected public executor rejects direct treasury and payment-channel transaction variants. Treat those specifications as design references until a supported and activated path is documented for your network.
Small examples. Real requests.
Copy a client, inspect a block, and verify a receipt. Each example reads public state without signing or submitting a transaction.
Make your first Sigil request.
Identify a node, check network activation, and read a block window. These requests query public state and do not submit transactions.
